June 15, 2024 - WASHINGTON – Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21) released the following statement after House Republicans voted to hold U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress. 

“House Republicans are once again wasting time on baseless attacks against the Biden administration, rather than addressing real issues facing Americans. If Republicans were serious about governing, the House would be increasing funding for victims’ services, and addressing gun violence in our communities. This is nothing more than a partisan attack.” said Congressman Costa.
