Calaveras County Search & Rescue announces the passing of Search and Rescue K9Jackson.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jackson, one of our Search and Rescue K9s. Jackson was certified from January 2018 up until his retirement at the end of August 2025. He was deployed on 46 searches and had 5 finds. He was certified in area, cadaver, and water recovery — he also assisted with evidence searches. Jackson was not only a part of our Calaveras Search and Rescue team, but he also served as part of CARDA - California Rescue Dog Association.
Our thoughts are with Jackson’s handler and team member, Robyn. Jackson will be greatly missed.
