December 19, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff’s Office officials announce that Lieutenant Ryan Videgain has
graduated from FBI National Academy.
On behalf of Sheriff Tyson Pogue, we are proud to announce that Lieutenant Ryan Videgain has graduated as a member of the 296th session of the FBI National Academy. The graduation took place at the National Academy in Quantico, Virginia on December 11, 2025. Nationally, fewer than one percent of law enforcement personnel have the opportunity to attend this prestigious program.
Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy offers ten weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training. Participants must have proven records as professionals within their agencies to attend. On average, these officers have 21 years of law enforcement experience and usually return to their agencies to serve in executive-level positions.
The 296th session consisted of 255 law enforcement officers from 47 states and the District of Columbia. The class included members of law enforcement agencies from 24 countries, four military organizations, and two federal civilian organizations.
Lieutenant Videgain has 22 years of service and currently oversees our Office of Emergency services (OES), Training, Off Highway Vehicle unit (OHV), Boating Unit, and Search and Rescue (SAR).
“Representing Madera County and the Sheriff’s Office during Session 296 of the FBI National Academy was an incredible honor. I am thankful to the FBI for selecting me and to Sheriff Pogue for supporting this opportunity to learn and grow alongside law enforcement leaders from around the world. I appreciate the encouragement from my co-workers, but above all, I am most grateful for my family, their support meant everything to me throughout this journey. I’m excited to bring what I learned back to better serve the people of Madera County.” - Lieutenant Videgain
