Cutler Shooting Leads TCSO Detectives to Known Gang Members, Guns & Ammo
January 17, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff's Office officials report that at around 10:15 p.m. on January 5, 2026, TCSO Deputies were called to a shooting near Road 128 and Avenue 403 in Cutler.
When Deputies arrived, they learned that two people had been shot at while driving away from the Cutler Food Mart. Multiple rounds were fired at their car. Several nearby cars and a building were also hit by gunfire. Fortunately, the victims were not seriously hurt.
Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office TAGNET Unit took over the investigation and identified two suspects: a 17-year-old boy from Orosi and 22-year-old David Juda Vasquez from Cutler. Both are documented members of the Norteño criminal street gang and were wanted in connection with the shooting.
On January 13th, Detectives tracked down both the 17-year-old and Vasquez. They were taken into custody without incident. The teen was booked into the Juvenile Detention Facility, and Vasquez was booked into the Tulare County Pretrial Facility, where both are being held on charges related to the shooting.
As part of this investigation, Detectives served several search warrants in Cutler. During the searches, Detectives found five high-capacity magazines, a large amount of ammunition, and guns. 26-year-old Rodrigo Manzo of Cutler was taken into custody, as a result of the investigation. Manzo is a Norteño gang member.
