Important Information Regarding TCSO Detective Randy Hoppert’s Funeral
April 25, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials announce funeral arrangements for Tulare County Detective
Randy Hoppert.
As we come together to honor Detective Hoppert, we want to share important service details and expected traffic impacts with our community.
Service Information: Viewing on Monday, April 27 at 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Visalia First Assembly located at 3737 S. Akers Street in Visalia
Funeral Service: Service on Tuesday, April 28 at 10:00 A.M. at Visalia First Assembly located at 3737 S. Akers Street, Visalia
Final Procession: From Visalia First to Salser and Dillard Funeral Home
Procession & Traffic Impacts:
- Monday (Viewing): Visalia Police Department will assist with escorts and intersection closures as needed.
- Tuesday (Service & Procession): VPD will escort the procession to and from the service, managing traffic along the route. This will include a hard closure of Caldwell Avenue at all major intersections leading to Visalia First during the service and final procession. The public is welcome to show support from the sidewalk; however, please keep Caldwell clear of all vehicles
- The first procession is expected to depart at approximately 9:30 A.M. and continue through approximately 9:40 A.M.
- The second procession will occur at the conclusion of the service, anticipated at approximately 1:00 P.M., as Detective Hoppert is escorted from Visalia First to Salser and Dillard Funeral Home.
- The Visalia Police Department will issue a public service announcement on social media once all roadways have fully reopened.
The public is welcome to show support from the sidewalk; however, please keep Caldwell clear of all vehicles.
We ask our community to please plan ahead, expect delays, and use alternate routes when possible.
