Thanks District 3 and Mariposa residents for all the support and vote of confidence, however the majority of the voters have decided differently.  This has been a great experience and I have met so many wonderful people going door-to-door.  Our discussions have helped me frame the issues and added personal perspectives for working through to solutions.  I appreciate everything you have done to help me with this journey.  I do not regret the experience, even with the outcome.

I will stay connected to our community through Rotary, AAUW, Agri-Nature Association. JC Fremont Hospital Foundation and continue supporting many of our local non-profits, who work to better our community.  During the campaign I stressed increasing small business job opportunities through a relationship with UC Merced.  They are tasked with marketing their research to the private sector and I believe Mariposa County must take advantage of this opportunity.

I look forward to years of operating our business.  Here in my adopted home, Mariposa, I will strive to add needed jobs and hire local residents.  We are truly a “Made in Mariposa” business and I will do what I can to promote not only my business, but all of Mariposa small businesses.

Congratulations to Marshall Long and I wish you a successful tenure.  Your job has just begun.

I am proud of my campaign and look hopefully for a Mariposa that is the best that it can be.  Let’s put this election behind us and work together toward positive solutions.
