September 18, 2018 - Our democracy is in some danger right now. We must have a much larger than normal voter turnout in this fall election. The future depends on it, your vote DOES count.
The person we send to Congress will have a say in which direction the country goes. PLEASE VOTE!
California District 4 is currently represented or misrepresented by Tom McClintock. Here are some reasons he needs to be replaced.
------Tom McClintock does not even live in District 4. He has little idea what life in the Sierra and Foothill towns is like. For example seeing a wildfire nearly engulf everything in your life.
------He has been elected to one political office or another since age 26, first in So. Cal. He is a career politician and an opportunist, a carpetbagger, now in his mid 60's.
------Tom McClintock is a servant of big money special interests, not we the people. He is a sure vote for Big Pharma, Big Oil and Big Insurance companies because most of his reelection money comes from them. Tom is the classic bought and paid for politician. What has he ever done for you and me? NOTHING! Then why should he misrepresent us in Congress?
------McClintock is terrible on Healthcare. He supports getting rid of coverage for preexisting medical conditions. He voted to rescind billions of $ for addiction treatment in the middle of the opioids crisis. He voted for drastic reductions in nutrition programs. Tom has voted with the drug companies to keep drug prices high. He has voted many times to end the Affordable Care Act.
------Tom McClintock is terrible for your pocketbook. He voted to increase the National Debt by $1.8 trillion and give most of that money to the rich. Our children and grandchildren will pay for that decision all their lives. He voted to stop allowing Californians to deduct most state and local taxes from federal income taxes. He voted to shutdown the Federal government which caused Yosemite Natl. Park to close resulting in millions of $'s being lost to our local economy. Tom blocked the building of a Yosemite Natl. Park Visitors Center to be built in Mariposa costing us many local jobs.
------McClintock is terrible on firefighting even though he talks a good game. He supported a freeze on federal hiring which left the US Forest Service 700 firefighters short this year. He voted against a bill to provide federal aid to victims of wildfires. He also voted against increasing federal funding for fire protection.
When it comes down to it what has Tom McClintock done to earn the vote of citizens of California District 4? The answer is DAMN LITTLE!
It is time to retire Tom McClintock and give JESSICA MORSE a chance to put WE THE PEOPLE first in Washington.
