August 15, 2019 - Reading the recent letter written by Victor Krag  (link to original letter) prompts the question of why would anyone promote his political agenda based on such tragedies? How crude and rude of him to present his selected information on States with gun use statistics, identifying them as Democratic or Republican. He conveniently omitted two States with the worst records of gun deaths, Baltimore, Maryland and Chicago, Illinois. Needless to say, was he too guilty to include them due to his obvious political choice?

We, in this great country, are all blessed with the right to free speech and the right to bear arms, but to place blame on any political party is reckless and juvenile!

A friend born in Germany and living there prior to WW11 stated often the fact one of Hitler’s first moves was to seize everyone’s guns! (Keep in mind History does repeat itself)!

Are guns the real problem? Logic dictates they are not. It takes a person to use one. With such rhetoric rampart in our daily lives, there is little doubt it is past time to return society to better standards of responsibility while also addressing the areas of mental illness, broken homes and the irresponsible in our community!
