October 1,  2019 - In the late sixties my employment function was to develop new markets for a company named Vivitar. Part of my efforts were to sell cameras and photographic equipment to the post exchanges, and, directly to the US government. Consequently, I closely followed bids and occasionally would visit the US Army Pasadena Bid Room, where I reviewed open bids.

One occasion I found a bid request I considered somewhat odd. So, I went to the NCO supervising the operation and inquired, “What is going on here?” It was seeking offers to sell 1,000 1 or 2-year-old male castrated [breed] goats from West Texas. He responded, “They plan to use them in place of gardeners cutting the grass at Fort Meade.” My response, “Why West Texas?” He replied, “Where does the president come from?” Surprise, LBJ came from West Texas.

Another surprise, the number of military stopovers at Trump’s expensive Scottish resort increased from 95 in 2015 to 259 so far this year, and, Pompeo and Pence are going to have a big expensive shindig at Trump’s Washington hotel.

It was, and still is, called … CORRUPTION. We need to replace this administration’s enabler, Congressman Tom McClintock.
