January 3, 2020 - Thank you Republican House members of Congress for voting 'No' on the two Articles of Impeachment of President Trump. Your vote is now on the record against impeaching a president who will be regarded as the most corrupt P.O.T.U.S. in history. This will be extremely helpful for every Democrat running to replace you in the coming fall election.
By the time November's election rolls around there will have been many more completed investigations into the Trump Administration and Donald himself. Before next fall, the Supreme Court will have confirmed that Congress is indeed an equal branch of government as provided in the U.S. Constitution. That decision will direct the documents that have already been subpoenaed by the House to finally be released by the White House. White House staff testimony, under oath, by Don McGahn, the White House counsel, and other officials that is currently being withheld will be required. It is likely that the heavily redacted portions of the tax-payer funded Mueller Report will also finally be released un-redacted, as well as Trump's Deutsche Bank tax documents (from wherever they've been "misplaced" to). Please remember Special Counsel Robert Mueller's press conference in which he said, "If we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so." Ouch!
We should be asking ourselves what exactly it is the White House is hiding. If Trump can rid himself of the "dark cloud" over his administration why not just release the documents requested and let his staff give testimony under oath? That would certainly make Dems look like fools, right? Why the odd circumstance of hiding the full as-of-yet unreleased telephone recording with Ukraine's President Zelenski on a server that is reserved for only the most highly classified information? If a sheriff's deputy shows up at your door while investigating a neighborhood crime, Mariposans don't say, 'I won't help you sir, and no, you cannot speak to others who live here' unless that person is hiding something. Hillary Clinton testified for nearly eleven-straight grueling hours under oath during the Benghazi hearings in October of 2015. She made it look pretty easy because she knew she was in the right. Let's see how Donald Trump holds up under oath for half that amount of time! The House has already invited him to testify and clear his name but so far, the President is a no-show.
I look forward to this fall's election when every Democrat running against the Republican incumbent will point to his GOP rival and say 'That gentleman voted against impeaching the most corrupt president in U.S. history. That Congressman put his political party over our country. That elected official put his party affiliation above the U.S. Constitution that he swore under oath to protect. That Congressman failed in his duty as a public servant to protect our system of government and our democracy that many of our forebears died for.'
