SST LTRApril 21, 2022 - I was pleased when I read John Newcomb’s letter of support in the paper for Greg Royse who is running for Supervisor, because it confirmed my opinion of him as well as shared insights about him that he would never boast about himself.  I’ve known Greg for a shorter time, but after speaking with him at length I strongly believe that he is the right one to represent the citizens of District 1.

Greg Royse has been a rural mountain resident for most of his life.  He attended college to study electrical engineering.  He and his wife, Lucy, manage the Yosemite Mountain Ranch in Fish Camp, a sustainable-yield tree farm.  It is a good example of proper forest management using a thirty-year rotation method.  They divide their home between Fish Camp and their cabin in Wawona.  They have a son and a daughter who received a quality education attending the one-room schoolhouse in Yosemite.

Besides his knowledge and education, he brings common sense to the table.  He is a problem solver who is able to think outside the box to get things done.  He is active in his community and serves on the Wawona School Board and the Fish Camp Advisory Board.  Some of his priorities include: promote hiring within our county, preserve private property rights, and provide quality education.

In this age of top-down governing, where seemingly continual regulations and rising costs are forced upon our county’s tax paying citizens, Greg Royse shares our concerns.  He has no political or personal agenda, and will listen to the voice of the people.  His goal is to do whatever he can to make life better for us!  Let’s make a change on June 7th.  Vote for Greg Royse for District 1 Supervisor.
