I am writing in response to, "Letter to the Editor - Response to Climate Change Deniers."

The author talked about the doubt raised about solutions to the issue of climate change.

One solution not touched upon would be to place a fee on carbon and return the proceeds to consumers. The writer also talks about China who has now pledged to have a cap and trade system.

The cap and trade system is rife with opportunities to exploit the system. With the carbon fee there is a straightforward fee placed on a carbon. Some have supported the figure to be fifteen dollars a ton with an escalation of ten dollars in each successive year. Bernie Sanders is alone among all candidates in supporting a fee on carbon with the proceeds to be returned to consumers and the remainder to be invested in renewable energy. In this election year it is crucial to keep the issue of climate change front and center.
