September 1, 2024 – The driving force behind Board member Suzette Prue’s unwavering leadership is her fierce dedication to the patients of the John C. Fremont Healthcare District. Before making any decision regarding the District, she asks herself, “Will it benefit the patient?” Suzette is not a casual or part-time Board member. She keeps current with advisories and directives from the state so that she is always informed and knowledgeable. As a Board member, she constantly utilizes her background in management and finance to make educated and qualified decisions. Recently, she co-sponsored the effort to get Measure O on the ballot, and that effort now brings in a steady stream of funds for the building of the new state-mandated seismically safe hospital to be completed by 2030. And years ago, as a member of the Hospital Foundation, she co-founded the hugely successful fundraiser, the Black and White Ball. 

There is no question that it has been difficult for everyone to read about the chaos surrounding the District, but Suzette worked tirelessly for endless hours to resolve conflicts and persisted until a new path was set for the District. 

There is no one with more experience, knowledge, expertise, or compassion to serve as a member of the Healthcare District Board. I urge you to re-elect Suzette Prue.
