August 10, 2023 - Nevada County Sheriff's Office officials report that this week scammers have been calling locals, pretending to be the Sheriff's Office, Truckee Police, Grass Valley Police Department or Nevada City Police Department. They are informing citizens that they have an active Nevada County warrant for their arrest and money is needed now. Rest assured that this is 100% a scam.
