School Violence Threat Arrest
September 17, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., a Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station school resource deputy assigned to a middle school in the 5000 block of Steve Street, Jurupa Valley, received a report of criminal threats made by a 14-year-old male towards some students. With the assistance of the Jurupa Valley Station Investigations Bureau, a thorough investigation of these criminal threats was immediately initiated.
Deputies and investigators responded to the suspect’s residence in Eastvale and conducted a search. Evidence was collected, but no firearms or dangerous weapons were located. As a result of the investigation, the juvenile was arrested and booked into juvenile hall for criminal threats. This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional information will be released at this time.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office takes all threats of school violence seriously and encourages all members of our community to report any online threats or suspicious activity to law enforcement or the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center to prevent any planned acts of violence against our communities.
