April 13, 2025 – Modesto Police Department officials issue new a scam alert.
We’ve received reports of someone calling community members, claiming to represent the Modesto Police Department and asking for money to “help get youth off the streets.”
This is a scam.
The Modesto Police Department does not solicit donations over the phone.
Please remember:
- Never give out personal or banking information over the phone.
