Calaveras County Sheriff Seeks Information in 1995 Cold Case Homicide of Roger Sheltrown of Angels Camp

Missing Person Cold Case – Help Us Find Roger Sheltrown

September 21, 2025 – Calaveras County Sheriff's Office officials report that 28-year-old Roger Sheltrown was last seen leaving a Halloween party on his bike in 1995. He was reported missing by his mother on November 13th, 1995. Roger would be 58 years old.

Roger resided in Angels Camp, CA, and had ties to the Camp Nine, Columbia, and Vallecito areas in Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties, CA.

Authorities have reason to believe that his remains could have been hidden in a mine shaft.

Although there are many suspects, stories, and rumors, the Sheltrown missing person case remains unsolved to this day.
