November 21, 2025 – Sutter County Sheriff’s Office officials report that they have received numerous reports over
the last few days of a scammer pretending to be a retired employee of the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office.
Please be aware:
We will NEVER call you about a missed court date.
We will NEVER request money, payment codes, gift cards, or personal financial information over the phone.
Do NOT trust anyone claiming to be law enforcement who demands immediate payment or threatens arrest.
